Steve Kempton
Senior Pastor
Steve is married to Helen and they have two daughters, Iona and Sian.
Before coming to Weston in 2014 Steve and his family lived and worked in Nepal for 7 years starting new churches and transforming communities.
Neil Stokes
Associate Pastor
Neil is married to Sarah and is blessed to have two amazing daughters, Maddie and Gracie.
He has a passion for people to discover their potential in and through the power of Jesus, and knows that God uses anyone from anywhere to do great things for His glory.
He loves spending time with his family, drinking a good coffee, eating pizza, ninja turtles, reading, football and watching a good film.
Dawn Garge
Associate Pastor
Dawn has 3 wonderfully energetic children: Amelia, Rosie and Luke, and is married to Grant. She has a passion to communicate Gods Word to people with faith and without faith. Dawn is currently excited to be kicking off a new initiative called REACH which aims to inspire people to; ‘do what you are already doing in life and make it Jesus centred!’. Dawn loves belonging to a church full of people who genuinely want the best for each other and the world around them, living life well as God intended.
Christy Goodwin
Youth Pastor/MIT
Christy joined the team in September 2018 as youth leader. She is married to Connor and they both hail from Scotland. They have a cute son called Murray.
Christy has a passion for seeing the lives of young people changed and transformed by the power of Jesus. In a world that is constantly competing for young people's attention, Christy's desire is to see youth on fire for God and standing strong in His love throughout everything they face in their lives.
Reuben Obery
Minister in Training
Reuben joined the team in June 2022 and has been apart of the church for his whole life. He is bi-vocational and has a Disabled Property Finder business that funds his ministry. During his MIT training, his focus is on Children and Families and Church Planting. Reuben's passion is to equip and disciple people through online teaching on social media and one-on-one discipleship.
Elaine Cooke
Admin & Projects
Elaine has been working with the church for over 10 years with a background of successful leadership in financial services bringing skills and experience in people development and project delivery. She is married to Graham and they have two children. Elaine has a passion to equip and help others to grow in the ministry God has called them to serve in. She loves baking, music, anything creative, and taking her dog, Maisie, for walks in the countryside.
Phil Jennings
Finance Officer
Phil is married to Michelle. Together they have 2 children and 3 (soon to be 5!) grandchildren. Phil took the unexpected opportunity to semi-retire at the end of 2016 as a management accountant in Financial Services. This has enabled him to fulfil the role of Finance Officer (Treasurer) at HT, be more available to spend time with his family and to manage the renovation of their neglected 1920’s house in WSM. He has been a part of HT for 18 years and continues to be passionate about seeing our church have a tangible impact in changing the lives of the local community in both practical and spiritual terms.
